Currently included within the breeding herd are Quarter Horse, Standardbred, Paint and Thoroughbred broodmares and foals. ATI - owned and client mares are foaled each year at the center, providing an opportunity to the students for hands-on instruction in foaling, breeding and subsequent mare and foal care.

Selected foals are sold as weanlings and yearlings through private sale or public auction and are an important source of income for  the center. Other selected foals are retained as Two-Year-Olds and used as part of the saddle horse training course. The center is home to four stallions:

Mahogany Hall, Jockey Club

Hoosierpersonality, APHA

Scallion Hanover, USTA

Boot Scootin Spark, AQHA

In addition to our breeding herd, the Equine Center also maintains approximately 30 lesson horses. The horses used in the equitation courses represent a variety of breeds including Quarter Horses, Arabians, Paints, Thoroughbreds, Standardbreds, Grade Horses and one Mule. We have horses to suit every skill level, from beginner riders to advanced jumpers. The majority of the lesson horses have been generously donated by their previous owners.
